Our cafeteria ladies do so much more than prepare and serve meals. They greet our Panthers with warm smiles, kind words, and caring hearts every single day. They work hard behind the scenes to make sure our students are fed, cared for, and ready to learn.
Ladies, please know that your hard work does not go unnoticed! You are such an important part of our Panther family, and we are truly blessed to have each of you!

Anahuac ISD is excited to welcome Aleasha Shipley as our new District Librarian!
Mrs. Shipley brings 15 years of experience in education, including six years as a librarian. Her love of books and reading has made sharing that passion with students one of her favorite parts of working in education, and she is excited to bring her experience and enthusiasm to the Panthers family.
Outside of school, Mrs. Shipley enjoys spending time with her family, reading, camping, and hanging out with her two very spoiled dachshunds!
Mrs. shared that she is looking forward to getting to know the students, staff, families, and community of Anahuac ISD and is grateful for the opportunity to begin this new chapter as a Panther.

In Loving Memory of Rosie Womack
The Anahuac ISD family is deeply saddened by the passing of Rosie Womack, a beloved former employee whose service and dedication left an incredible mark on our district.
Rosie dedicated 30 years to Anahuac ISD, from 1993–2023, serving our district in more ways than most could ever imagine. Throughout her career, she served as a teacher, principal, business manager, and bus driver—and even after retirement, Rosie continued driving a bus and serving the students and families of Anahuac ISD.
Rosie was truly a book of knowledge. If something went wrong, chances are Rosie knew how to fix it. She knew our schools, our people, our history, and how to get things done. Her knowledge, experience, and willingness to help made her someone generations of AISD employees could depend on.
Thirty years of service cannot be measured simply in years. Rosie's legacy lives in the countless students she taught, the employees she helped, the buses she drove, the problems she solved, the friendships she built, and the district she faithfully served.
We are incredibly grateful for the many years Rosie gave to Anahuac ISD. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family, friends, former coworkers, students, and everyone whose life was touched by this remarkable woman.
Thank you, Rosie, for a lifetime of service to Anahuac ISD.

The Alamo Plaque Letter Project — A Piece of Texas History Comes to Anahuac!
Anahuac ISD is proud to share this special community event commemorating one of the most powerful documents in Texas history — Lt. Col. William B. Travis’s legendary “Victory or Death” letter, written from the Alamo in 1836.
We are especially excited that some of our students from Anahuac Elementary, Anahuac Middle School, and Anahuac High School will be participating in this historic event! 🖤💛 What a unique opportunity for our Panthers to experience Texas history firsthand and play a part in honoring this important piece of our state’s story.
Join us Wednesday, September 23 at 10:00 AM at the Chambers County Courthouse for the unveiling of the bronze memorial honoring Travis’s famous letter.

🍽️ From Play Dough to the Dinner Table! 🍽️ Our AMS Lifeskills class has been learning all about proper etiquette and table manners! After practicing how to set the perfect place setting using play dough, it was finally time to put those skills into action. 😄 Today, our students enjoyed lunch at The Beginning and showed off their amazing manners! They practiced using their utensils, making polite conversation, and being respectful guests. 💕👏 They were truly the perfect example of how to eat in public—and we couldn’t be prouder! What a fun way to turn classroom learning into real-life skills! 🌟🍴

AISD WEATHER UPDATE Anahuac ISD officials continue to closely monitor the storm as it slowly moves through our area. District officials have a 7:30 p.m.briefing with local meteorologists and county officials this evening to receive the latest information and assess conditions before making a determination regarding school operations for Wednesday, September 2. Any changes to school operations will be communicated through AISD’s regular communication channels, including the district website and Facebook page. Thank you for your continued patience and understanding as we work to make the safest decision for our students, staff, and families. We encourage everyone to stay safe and dry, and to use caution and good judgment if travel is necessary.

AISD WEATHER UPDATE

Out of an abundance of caution, Anahuac ISD will cancel all classes and district operations for Tuesday, September 1, 2026, due to the anticipated arrival of the tropical storm early Tuesday afternoon and the potential for hazardous travel conditions during dismissal.

All extracurricular activities and games scheduled for Tuesday afternoon and evening are also cancelled.

District officials will continue to monitor weather and road conditions throughout the day Tuesday. A decision regarding school operations for Wednesday, September 2, will be communicated by 6:00 p.m. Tuesday.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we prioritize the safety of our students, staff, and families. Please continue to monitor the AISD website and Facebook page for official updates.

Mrs. Chapman and Mrs. Schneider had an exciting opportunity to take a ride in a man basket, lifted by a 120-ton crane! Talk about taking Panther Pride to new heights!

These ladies will go to the highest points to make sure AISD is taken care of—and they definitely rose to the occasion! 🐾

AISD COMMUNITY UPDATE – DELAYED START
Anahuac ISD will have a district-wide delayed start tomorrow, Wednesday, August 26, 2026.

All AISD campuses will begin the school day at 10:00 a.m.

AISD buses will run their normal routes approximately two hours later than their regularly scheduled times. Parents and guardians should plan accordingly for morning transportation and arrival.

The delayed start will provide our staff additional time in the morning to prepare Anahuac Primary School for the return of students once water service is restored, including ensuring that restrooms and other essential facilities are fully operational.

We sincerely appreciate the patience, flexibility, and understanding our families, students, and staff have shown as we have navigated this unexpected situation.

Anahuac Primary’s first-grade students are making the most of their unexpected adventure to Anahuac Middle School! 🖤💛 Our Tiny Panthers are all smiles and taking their impromptu “field trip” in stride. 🐾 We’re so proud of our students and staff for making the best of the day!

Anahuac Primary School Water Outage Update

We would like to provide our families with an update regarding the water outage at Anahuac Primary School.

All Anahuac Primary students have been safely transported to their designated campuses and are settled in for the day. All Primary staff members are with their students and will remain with them throughout the day to ensure they are safe, comfortable, and supported.

TBCD has informed the district that the water outage is expected to last at least four hours. Because of this, Primary students will remain at their designated campuses during the school day.

This afternoon, all Anahuac Primary students will be transported by bus back to Anahuac Primary School for normal dismissal procedures. Parents and guardians should plan for dismissal as they normally would.

We are incredibly thankful for the cooperation of our students, staff, transportation department, and campuses for making this transition as smooth as possible.

As always, the safety and well-being of our students and staff remain our first and foremost priority. We appreciate the patience, flexibility, and understanding of our Anahuac ISD families as we navigate this unexpected situation.
